Why Helllllloooo my Darlings…

It sure is hot down here in New Orleans. I'm at a “geek” convention. Have you ever noticed certain personality types tend to be in certain career fields? I like being out of my element every once in a while, so I can look to those “templates” for knowledge. I'm having fun being a fly on the wall.

Chris and I had dinner on the Mississippi last night. It was beautiful and the lobster was from Maine. Yum! He, of course, had midwestern-raised beef, corn-fed. He was dapper in linen and I was quite chic in polka dots. It was a nice evening - one of those you remember and look back on from time to time for a warm smile.

I wonder what tonight will have me remembering tomorrow?

Hello

I've been busier than a one-legged man in a butt-kicking contest. I'm so silly sometimes I crack myself up.

The puppies sure are a handful! They are absolutely adorable little poopers. Literally. It seems that's all they do: poop, pee and want to be loved up. Just TOO cute for words. I'll post more pics soon, I promise! Work has been busy as well; I'm learning something new every day. It seems the 'sales technique' is giving me the hardest time. Anyone have any pointers in that arena?

So, how is YOUR Monday going?

A big Day is Coming!

The decision has been made, with much thought, I've decided it's time to turn to another chapter in my life. Tomorrow represents the last day for me at my current position as a funding officer for a major mortgage corporation. Thursday will be the first day of my new adventure. I will be working for myself doing signings for borrowers on an individual basis as well as working for a well known internet company (wink, wink.)

My main goal in the next two months is to finish my real estate principles class so I can sit for the real estate sales person exam. There, I've said it… er written it and most importantly put a timeline on it. Hopefully this will keep me honest, to myself, of course. This move will  free my time to a degree and afford me the room to focus on my goals. The sacrifice of money now for a brighter future will be a hard pill to swallow but in the end I'm worth every penny left on ”the coporate marble table.”  I'm ready to be the one writing the checks rather than waiting for them. That takes a learning curve and a sizable amount of work. The heartening part of it all is, every drop of sweat will be to my own benefit. Booo Yaaaaaaaaaaa, now THAT'S what I'm talkin' bout peeps!
