It's the little things

New Orleans was an interesting city with lots of entertainment and culture all its own. Home is better. I missed my pillow, puppies, the bed, Honey's coffee in the morning and the smell of home (jasmine oil). It's worth a thought on what we take for granted every day. Sometimes it's good to change our schedules (read: daily routine) just to remind ourselves what a wonderful life we have. To pause and look again at who we are, day to day, and how we are happy with the choices we make. Or, how we should change to be happier.
In New Orleans I found out a thing or two. First of all, nobody can scramble eggs like mine. (Want some?) Start with a substantial amount of heavy cream, then whip in some Lawry's seasoning salt and finish with fresh ground pepper. I promise they will be the fluffiest, tastiest scrambled eggs you've ever eaten. Secondly, no one makes coffee like Chris, but Chris. :~)
Today, I appreciate my home cooked eggs and Honey's coffee. Thank you, New Orleans, for reminding me that home is good, home is what I choose it to be. I like being me. I understand how it's the little things that make life sweet. Do you agree?
Okay, enough with the introspection stuff. On to more inportant things… like, I still can't post pictures through BlogWare. It's becoming a huge annoyance. I'm still waiting on “support” to fix the problem. (Why can't it be easy like it was on textamerica.com?) As soon as the problem is corrected you will be returned to your regularly scheduled Ponzi programming.
I also never told you all about my last night in New Orleans and who I met. That is a definite post waiting to be written. She was named Maria, but her stage name was “Gypsy” -a very interesting lady. I'll save that for another day. Hugs and kisses to all.
What all have you been up to? Share, please!

I wish I could go somewhere… anywhere. Instead, here I am working in a school in the UK. The weather is good, but I'm stuck indoors doing I.T. budgets for 2004-2005 school year.
I'd like to say your eggs sound good, and they probably are, but I can't eat eggs.

Your scrambled eggs recipe sounds great for Atkins. I'm going to give them a try!

I'm sure your scrambled eggs are delicious. If you're in an experimental mood sometimes, try one thing different. Replace the heavy cream with water. I caught a food show that had the World Champion omlette maker and he said his secret was replacing the diary with water; swore it made the eggs much more fluffy than milk or cream. That's all I use now and it seems to really make a difference. Try it on Pirillo sometime and see if he notices any difference.
