McDonald's Shoud be sued…

Not because they “make” people fat but because they  advertise false merchandise. McDonald's totally cracks me up. I just saw a commercial where a woman is standing in front of green bushes gushing in her green sweater about McDonald's green salads. HA!

I can't be the only person who has ever went to McDonald's and silently groaned at another McSalad Shaker. It never falls, everytime I've ever ordered a McSalad it's more white iceberg lettuce than green. And, usually it's the white vein of the leaf, no less.

The audacity of their commercial advertising team makes me go hmmmmmmm.

Having worked with the ad folks for McDonald's, it's interesting to note the company is really striving hard to be seen as a place to get food that is not just junk. They've invested a ton of money into researching and developing their Go Active Meals.
That being said, I think there's still a lot left to be done, because when I think of eating someplace that's quick & healthy, McDonald's never comes to mind.

It seems to me I've noticed a big “think McHealthy” kick ever since the “Super Size Me” DVD became a hot topic. Can you say damage control?
Ponzi, what cracks me up is the premium chicken…it makes you wonder about the regular chicken, ya know? As for beef, yes there are cuts that are far superior to others but a chicken is just white meat and dark meat, unless you count all the parts we don't really except to be eating.

I remember making those things back in high school. Fresh lettuce was rare.

I haven't been to McDonalds in months.

In praise of the golden arches:
I was a pre-teen when the first $.15 cent hamburger -MacDonald's opened … in other words, I've been with 'em from the beginning. And I have to say, over the course of its history, this organization rates as one of America's best.
They've always been consumer-minded (within the range of their specialty, off course, which is fast food.) Sure they have made some mistakes, but generally have been quick to acknowledge and correct them.
What I will always value about MacDonalds is their dependability and realiability. Having spent my working life on the road and having travelled widely, there is nothing like the sign of a golden arches when you need a clean restroom and a decent cup of coffee to get you to your destination.
And … senior friendly? I think they invented the concept.
Though I no longer drive or go out to eat, I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for MacDonalds (and Joan Kroc who carried on her husband, Ray's, legacy.)
Thank you for the opportunity to post this comment.

Salad and McDonald's are 2 words that should not be in the same sentence.
Or rare occasions I will get a small order of their fries and a McChicken and get my fill of fat, grease and salt. But I wouldn't even consider their salads & neither should you. Who wants iceberg lettuce & factory-tasting prepackaged dressing? Not me.!

Yeah: Don't take this personal Ponzi, but as you know McDonalds empire was founded on the big mac and other fatening foods. :) If I was going to McDonalds it wouldn't be for salads, but sadly McDonalds have went the health craze direction, and recently Iwas standing in a line at a Subway where a McDonalds manager was braging to some young girls about going to a big management meeting for McD's and he said, they were asked how to get more business into their locations, so I said, well for starters give the people some BEEF on the burgers and not those little baby sized fries, in the old days you would actually get a Big Mac, not paper sliced meat patties. Now you need to take 2 big macs and put them together to get a decent sized big mac. Same goes for their sundaee's, the large sundae is now like what the small used to be. We wonder why most people won't go there, it's because they don't give you any FOOD for your bucks. I refer to McDonalds as McSTRAVE. Where's the Beef comes to mind. heeheh :) Happy Hoildays and Happy New Year to all 4 of you.

With all the devastation and suffering in Asia, this is the best you can come up with to rant about? Didn't you proclaim loud and clear that you were proud of your Thai heritage in a previous post? Anyone would think that you would express some thoughts about the tsunami tragedy, instead of it being all about you. Just a thought….

What Do You Think?
