Are your people trained? My two puppies Wicket and Pixie are forcing us to get people trained. I found a clicker training expert… now hopefully no more dogs taking us for a walk, no more Chris looking at me and saying “SIT, WAIT, DOWN…” in his sleep. lol - I'll keep ya'll posted on how that goes.
Here's the trainers website:
Has anyone in the Seattle Area met Emily or acquired her services? Have any of you clicker trained your dogs? How did that work for you - if so?

I find The Dog Whisperer on the National Geographic Channel to have really useful insight on how to be a good “pack leader” - but my dog still sleeps on the bed with me at night with her head rested on the pillow.

Clicker Training is imho the best way to train a dog/human! It has made a world of difference for me and the pooches. Check out http://www.clickersolutions.com –> there's loads of good clicker training info on this site

Hey Girfriend :)
Stumbled onto your question from the webcam links. Haven't tried clicker training, but the concept sounds good.
Structured, consistent commands and training are the best way to understand The Way of The Dog and his/her best friend(s). Be patient, consistent and firm when you have to be. Actually I would make a clicking sound with my tounge with my dog as an “attention” kind of sound.
You make me miss my girl Tracy (a mixed sheltie/germ shep I had in my late teens). We were best buds. Someday again, after I convince my two-legged best friend…
