There aren't many television shows I fall in love with. The last was Six Feet Under, I really hated that it ended. I sort of had a loss issue about it. Occasionally I think it wouldn't be so bad if they came back to life and did more shows. i rationalize that it wouldn't be like a cheesy day time soap opera if HBO did that. No worries though, I've found a new favorite, Numbers. I'm impressed that it's not on cable. Just a regular old CBS “free” show. I found myself actually thinking in advance about the recorded show I'd get to watch on the DVR when I got home from a business trip. Now that is a show that has hooked me in.
I just got off the phone with a couple of friends working on a site that brings time back on our side with the use of numbers, fractals, divination and computers. These two are genius in a way that's hard to explain - sort of like Charlie on Numbers but even more intense. When you put the two together and throw me in - for grounding purposes only - wow, magic. I can't wait to share the information - um, as soon as I can explain it. It should be up next week, their explanation which will be infinitely more detailed. What if you could use numbers to tap you into your higher self? What if quantum mechanics could change your everyday life for the better (without you having to do the math.) I'm amazed at some of the sheer genius I'm privy to on occasion. Do you ever have those moments where you stop for a minute and just think - Wow, that was special and I got to be part of it, Wow. I just had one. It feels good. I'm going to remember this feeling… with numbers. AT 9:03 pm on 05/16/06 - I felt joy in the accomplishments of others who were working for the good of all. Cool. Way cool.
Back to Numbers, I think Charlie is cute, in that geeky sort of way. What do you think?

“Numbers” has a permanent place in my Tivo's season pass list.

Love it and hate it, but would never miss an episode!!
I've been thinking about Numbers since the last “book” club meeting. Next time I see you I'll be able to put into words what bugged me so much about the genetics episode.

Great to see you posting again, Ponzi. Thought you might have fallen off the grid. I'm always happy to comment on the cute-factor of any legally-aged male: Charlie does not float my boat. I don't watch numbers, but as a math teacher I have brain drain in that department. See ya at Gnomedex.
