Nuts?

I’ve signed up for a few email newsletters from ivillage. Today’s tip was about nuts, pine nuts to be exact. Interesting stuff so I thought I’d pass on the info.
Conquer your cravings. “Recently there has been a lot of talk about the healthful aspects of nuts like almonds and walnuts, but not much has been said about the good old pine nut. Also known as pignoli (and a popular ingredient in foods such as pesto), these white, seedlike nuts are high in pinolenic acid, an essential fatty acid that helps suppress the appetite. Starting a meal with pignoli — sprinkled on a salad or even eaten alone — will trigger the body’s satiety center, making you feel full faster and cutting down on unwanted cravings. Pine nuts are also really high in protein (about 31 grams of protein per 100 grams of nuts) and a good source of dietary fiber. Though these nuts are harvested in many places around the globe — anywhere pine trees grow — look for the Korean kind at your grocery or organic foods store; this common variety is considered to have higher amounts of those good fats.”Â
