Ponzi! I’m *SO* sorry this happened to you. What an egregious thing to discover. I can only hope the person/people responsible for this will be caught and punished. People can be so malicious sometimes. I hope you’re okay, though.
They’ll come to the car to change the windshield, and comprehensive deductible is usually lower than accident, or whatever its called. Unless somebody else is paying for it…
They do it because they can. And some people get an extra kick from damaging a sporty car like yours. It’s doubtful that they will be caught, but at least you were not injured, and the windshield can be replaced. I had the rear windshield of my vehicle totally destroyed on a rainy evening some years ago, and had to go through the whole process of dealing with the glass company, the insurance company, the police, etc. No fun for sure, especially when you are caught up in wedding plans.

To be honest, your last post confirmed immediately what I thought when I saw the picture–someone hates BMWs. Seriously, there is an anti-BMW crowd out there (or maybe someone who envys the fact you have such a cool car).
For what it is worth, many insurance companies replace windshields without a deductible as it is considered a hazardous condition. You might get a free replacement.

Someone probably did this because you have a nice car and they don’t. Still its no excuse. Humanity is full of vile crap. Call the cops if you want a laugh because I doubt anything will be done. Unless you are really rich or know the mayor.
People do it because they are idiots. They don’t understand what it means to work towards something you truly desire, rewarding yourself along the way. They would rather live in the muck and mire because it is easier to lay down there and bitch at how dirty the world is than it is to rise up, clean up and do something about their situation.
Some little buttnugget kids driving around the neighborhoods in my area late one night were shooting people’s car windows with a pellet rifle. There were over 200 cars hit over 2 nights. Needless to say that they would be smart not to try that again as many people hit starting leaving their guns by the door just in case they get a chance to take a shot at one of them.
