Our wedding was wonderful. It was dreamlike and happier than I ever could have imagined it to be. We have wonderful friends and family; they made our day sweeter for all being together and celebrating with us. We know how busy all of our friends and families lives are. For them to take time out and for lots of them to fly/drive long trips to be with us – well, there are no words for how it makes us fee – l other than, totally loved.
There was only one damper on the evening. Someone decided to lift Chris’ tablet. The very tablet he read his vows from. Now I’m not going to let this ruin our special day though I must confess being hurt that a guest may have taken it. I say it was a guest because the Club pulled all the surveillance videos and combed through them for hours and hours just to be sure it wasn’t any of their employees. We got a phone call from the manager saying she has a “strong feeling” she knows who took it. There were only two people in the area where the tablets were being held and only an hour between when they were dropped off by our attendents and when they turned up missing.
Chris and I have a 1pm appointment today to go in and watch the videos. Ugh. I’m not looking forward to this. I’m really hoping it’s someone I don’t know. Hard to be true since we had an intimate wedding with close friends.
I’m a bit heartbroken but mainly just worried about who would take it and why? Are they in trouble that we don’t know about? Do they need money? Why? I think that’s the worst burning question – why would anyone take that specific tablet? Our purses were all open in view while we were all dancing and drinking and chatting. So why take the computer and not money if you were in “need”
I’m going to go watch the video because we should. Afterward I don’t want to let this upset me. If the tapes are conclusive then we will ask the person in the video – if they have it. If they aren’t I’m ready to let this go and move on.

Ugh, this is terrible – the more you try not to think about it, the more you do, I’m sure. Here’s hoping that it all gets resolved in as clean a way as possible.
BTW, you were a beautiful bride on your wedding day (and still are)!

Oh, Ponzi, that’s awful.
When Lane and I left, I put his tux in the men’s “green room,” but I didn’t look around to see if the tablets were in there. I asked Lane, and he didn’t remember either. :(
It was a beautiful, beautiful wedding, and we were so happy to be there for it. Thanks so much for including Lane.
I hope that there’s a good resolution to all of this. :(
much love,
Liz

First off, congratulations on your wedding! I am planning one for next Christmas and it’s a lot of work. Second, I am sorry about the tablet and I hope you guys can get it back without any additional upseting situations. Have a great holiday & new year as a married couple!

That’s pretty sick. I hope the person who took it ‘fesses up.

That’s what I am wondering too. I hope it got resolved, or will soon. ps: Am new to this place. Nice blog! :) I’m a long-time reader of Chris though, and now will follow yours too. Have fun on your honeymoon! :) Happy 2007!
